Buttercream cake stripes are a fun design trend. Decorate your stripe cake with these simple steps:
1. Crumb coat your cake and scrape the sides of the cake to mark
2. On top of the marks desired, comb the cake, wiping the comb clean and add buttercream as needed
3. Place your cake in the freezer for about 30 minutes
4. With a different colored buttercream in a pastry bag, fill the remaining gap stripes and wipe off excess with a straight edged comb
